Spring/Summer care

Place plant in a tray of rain water about 2/4 cm deep.

Place plant in a sunny windowsill or similar.

From May to September your plant will flower continuously with stem after stem. Just trim off as they finish flowering and have gone brown.

If your plant starts to look tried then trim off the next three stems as you see them grow to give it a rest. As the continuous flowering can take a lot of energy out of the plant.

Autumn/ winter care

From the clock change in October your plant will stop growing and go dormant.

The sticky leaves will start to go brown and it will look like it is dying. Trim off. This is normal, it will go new in the spring.

Reduce water levels to 2cm and it can be left on the windowsill.

On the clock change in march you plant will start to emerge from dormancy as green knuckles from the soil and your plant will be looking great again before you know it.

Increase rain water levels back of 2/4 cm for the spring/ summer months.

Repotting your Sundew

Sundews can be repotted by gently separating the multiple plants in the pot.

If your plant is growing out of its pot then gently pull apart into three or four clumps. Then with carnivorous soil ( 50/50 peat and perlite) place each clump into its own pot.

Place pots in tray of rain water to get wet again and back into a sunny position. Within a week or two they will start growing again.

Repotting and splitting is normal done inSeptember
